This ancestral-\, heart- & spirit-driven movement was inspired by the people & their words during a Line 5 meeting hosted by Gnoozhekaaning (Bay Mills Indian Community) on July 1. Megwetth to our Gnoozhekaaning relatives for their leadership & bringing the people together to protect our ancestors & waters. \nProtected under the American Indian Religious Freedom Act of 1978\, this gathering will include sacred fires\, daily ceremonies\, feasts\, teachings\, and offerings made for the water\, our ancestors\, our people\, and all of Creation. \nLodge building will take place Monday through Wednesday\, September 29 – October 1\, with sacred firelighting and the first sunrise ceremony on Thursday\, October 2. The ceremony will continue through Sunday\, October 5.
